United Sanitary Chemicals Company, Inc. was established in 1930 by Judge Murray Schuster with $300, the help of his family and the determination to build a successful janitorial supply business during the Depression. In 1959, Judge Schuster moved United Sanitary Chemicals Company, Inc. to its current location at 1901 N. Howard Street in downtown Baltimore.

After Judge Schuster's death in 1964, his wife, Molly, and sons, Stuart and Lanny continued the proud tradition that began in 1930, providing the highest quality cleaning products and janitorial supplies to our customers, serving every type of business in Maryland, Washington DC, northern Virginia, and southern Pennsylvania.

Many things may have changed over the past 83 years, but not our dedication to providing the best value to our customers.

"Our customers are our business."

This is not just a slogan. United Sanitary is proud of our continuous and personalized customer service. Many of our customers have been doing business with us for decades. Our goal is to give our customers the best tools to help provide a safe and sanitary environment for their businesses. We accomplish this through problem solving, education, and use of the highest quality cleaning products. Today, in addition to providing an extensive line of cleaning products and janitorial supplies, United Sanitary proudly offers environmentally friendly "green" cleaning products, safety equipment, and spill control products.
